I'm not really one for New Years resolutions but there is one thing in relation to my fishing I intend to do do better at than last year and that's to keep a diary for the full year. Last year I was doing well with recording catches up to around early Summer until things slipped. I found it more difficult when doing well, with so much to record especially when you've pushed your available time to the limit. Its fatal to try and catch up after a week or so, with my memory one session merges into another. I will be checking last years data to try and at least work out some early seasion figures and maybe some averages for the year.

Winter and its Snow's have finally arrived here in West Cork. Having escaped the snow that has paralyzed most of the Uk and Ireland we have finally got a dusting of the white stuff. Thanks to the Gulf Stream that passes our shores snow here is a rarity, we also rarely experience the high Summer temperatures that other parts of these Isles experience in fact Ireland has only hit 30c once in the last five years, London regularily hits 40c.

Right now 30c would be welcome!
